PASMA ‘Standard’ course, now renamed the ‘Towers for Users’ PASMA training course. This one day course is the association’s flagship course, attracting in excess of 50,000 delegates a year. Aimed at personnel who will be responsible for assembling, dismantling, moving and inspecting mobile access towers. Delegates attending this course receive a course content booklet and PASMA Code of Practice together with a PASMA certificate and photo card (sometimes referred to as a PASMA license) for the relevant level that is valid for 5 years.
2) Low Level Access
For Folding Towers & Podium Steps, the PASMA Low-Level Access training course is designed to cover low-level applications with platform levels of 2.5m or below.
Products such as Podium Steps, Folding Room Scaffolds and Wide Area Low Level Access Towers are included in this category of training. The PASMA training course method incorporates theoretical instruction and practical sessions with assessments. A maximum of twelve delegates can be trained at one time. This course will instruct and assess each delegate in the competence to assemble, dismantle, use, move and inspect low-level prefabricated access units.
This PASMA Low Level training course is for anyone in an organisation who uses low level access equipment such as Podium Steps etc – it is not solely aimed at construction sites, but all workplaces including schools, offices, factories both internally and externally. The aim of PASMA training is to provide delegates with necessary information to safely assemble, alter, move, inspect and use a full range of low level access products
3) Combined low level and tower for users – Download PDF
Low Level ACCESS
Part one of the combined course is aimed at personnel who work from prefabricated units of less than 2.5 metres of height. The course involves both a theory and practical session and includes how to assemble, dismantle and relocate mobile access units without risk of personal injury to the delegate or others.
Towers for Users
The second part of this course is aimed at personnel who will be responsible for assembling, dismantling, moving, inspecting and using mobile access towers. Instruction is in both theory and practical sessions. the course also covers current legislation and guidance affecting working at height with mobile access towers.

4) Work at height (essentials)
Who is this course Aimed at?
Personnel who, as part of their operational duties, must carry out or supervise any projects when working at height. This course would suit managers, charge hands and supervisors who also manage any work that would involve working at height.
Aims and Objectives of the course:
Attendees should complete the service with an understanding of the necessary control measures required for safe working at heights, and with the ability to assess and suitably deal with the risks arising when working at height.
Managers and supervisors will be able to assess whether their work force are working at height safely and in harmony with current safe working practices.

5) Towers for managers / supervisors – Download PDF
The PASMA Towers For Managers Course delivers a minimum of 6 hours of classroom based instruction. The course aims to instruct a supervisor/manager on what is required to prepare for and safely co-ordinate various types of mobile access towers within their control.
This PASMA Towers For Managers course is suitable for all supervisors or managers in your company or organisation that control the work of others in the use of mobile access towers including both Alloy and GRP Towers using either 3T or AGR assembly methods. It covers in detail the legislative framework, setting standards and implementing best practice and the role and responsibilities in managing work at height activities with mobile access towers. The course is designed to instruct up to a maximum of 12 candidates.
